Experienced Field Service Technician – Ohio

Shibuya Hoppmann has an opening for an experienced service technician who is looking for a new challenge. This job primarily involves maintenance and on-going customer support of Shibuya Filling Systems as part of our service team.

This position will be based in Dayton, OH. Work will primarily occur at a local customer facility.

On the Job Training will be provided to familiarize you with the position and help you to work independently. Training and support will occur on customer job sites, with occasional training opportunities at our facilities in Virginia and Japan.

Responsibilities to include:

• Scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency support on site at customers facilities
• Training of and operational support for customer personnel on equipment (once your training is complete), with support from other Shibuya Hoppmann service team members
• Documentation (detailed work reports and records, technical documents)

Qualifications:

• Must be flexible and motivated to learn
• Must be available for occasional off-time service calls
• Strong mechanical background (skill and experience working with machinery preferred)
• Experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems preferred
• Able to work successfully within a team and independently
• Good communication skills
• Basic PC skills
• Must have your own tools, though some company tools will be provided
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted, and have full range of motion to reach, climb, stoop, kneel and step over equipment easily.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and or current passport (or the ability to obtain a passport) and authorization to work in the United States

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:  food/beverage processing machinery, PCL Controls, equipment instrumentation.
